Student Internships

FSED works to provide opportunities for MBA and other masters-level students to research and assist Sustainable Local Enterprise Networks in emerging markets and the least developed countries.

In 2006, the Foundation worked with CARE Enterprise Partners to place two student interns on four-month consulting assignments in Tanzania in partnership with the University of Dar es Salaam Business School.

In 2012 FSED worked with CARE Bangladesh to place two student interns on a two month consulting contract in Bangladesh to develop a strategic business plan for the social enterprise, CDVF.

FSED also facilitates student research projects on market based approaches to development with organizations such as the UNDP’s Growing Sustainable Business Program, MEDA, CARE Enterprise Partners, E+Co, Honey Care Africa, Engineers Without Borders, Farm Shop and Karibu Solar.
